Simon Event Services brings people, planning and specialized resources together for live events. Experienced security agents, event medical staffing and transportation coordination support one practical operating plan.
Our company began as Simon Protection Group in 2014. Simon Event Group launched in 2015, three months after SPG received its PILB license, in response to demand for non-security event staffing. Live-event experience since 2015 includes concerts, festivals, film productions and conventions.

Led by Jonathan Simon. A U.S. Air Force veteran and retired LVMPD police sergeant, Jonathan brings public-service, investigative, corporate-leadership and private-sector experience to the way our teams prepare, coordinate and perform.
The events stopped.
The experience stayed.
From 2015 to 2020, our teams worked across dozens of concerts, festivals, film productions and conventions. Simon Protection Group handled security operations, while Simon Event Group supported the non-security staffing needs that helped events run.
Then the pandemic brought live events to a halt. The event business was suspended, interrupting years of work built around people gathering. It marked a turning point in the company’s story, but it did not erase the experience, relationships or operational knowledge earned in the field.
Simon Event Services returned with a new identity in 2026 and a broader way to support an event. Experienced security agents work alongside direct medical staffing and qualified partners, drone overwatch and site planning, screening equipment, access control and transportation coordination. The purpose is to bring those resources together around one practical event plan.

Our history
2014 — Simon Protection Group
Jonathan Simon founded the company in Las Vegas after retiring from LVMPD. SPG subsequently received its Nevada PILB license in 2015, establishing the licensed operating foundation. The company also became known as SPG Worldwide.
2015 — Simon Event Group
Simon Event Group launched in 2015, three months after Simon Protection Group was licensed by the Nevada Private Investigators Licensing Board (PILB). Created in response to demand for non-security event staffing, it expanded our event services alongside SPG’s security operations.
2019 — Explosive detection
An in-house canine section added explosive-detection capability and operating experience.
2021 — Event drone operations
Drone operations added aerial overwatch and site assessment to the resources available for event planning.
2026 — Multi-state expansion & Simon Event Services
Building on Nevada operations established in 2014 and California licensing added in 2023, The Simon Agency expanded its licensed security footprint in 2026 to Alabama, Maryland, Virginia, Texas, Florida, New Jersey and Washington, D.C. New York remains pending. Washington, D.C. services are limited to executive protection.
Simon Event Services launched its new identity in 2026, carrying forward our event operating experience with experienced security agents, direct medical staffing and qualified partner support, access control, equipment rentals and transportation coordination.
Leadership shaped by public service and real operations.
Jonathan Simon served in the U.S. Air Force Security Police and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, retiring as a police sergeant in 2014. His investigative and supervisory experience, followed by corporate HR leadership and private-sector operations, shaped the company he founded.
Today, he leads The Simon Agency and Simon Event Services. That background informs our emphasis on preparation, sound judgment, clear responsibilities and accountability in the field.
