Our company began as Simon Protection Group in 2014. Simon Event Group was added shortly afterward to handle non-security event staffing. Today, Simon Event Services brings that experience to a focused offering of security, event medical staffing, drone operations, checkpoint operations, and equipment rentals.
After suspending event services during the pandemic, The Simon Agency restructured its business and expanded into new markets with a renewed vision and mission. Now, our Event Services division returns with experience from 150+ events for more than 50 companies—and the capabilities to support what comes next.

2014 — Our Foundation
Jonathan Simon founded Simon Protection Group after retiring from LVMPD, establishing our security and investigative foundation.
2015 — Simon Event Group
Added for non-security event staffing, Simon Event Group built experience across concerts, festivals, film productions, and conventions.
2019 — K9 Explosive Detection
K9 Explosive Detection Services expanded the specialized resources available to our clients.
2020 — A Pandemic Turning Point
Live-event shutdowns suspended our event operations and prompted a reassessment of how we could serve clients as their needs changed.
2021 — Congressional Security & Drones
We began providing security for U.S. congressional members and added drone operations for aerial overwatch and site assessment.
Summer 2025 — Member Security Trial
The Simon Agency was selected as a trial participant in the U.S. Capitol Police’s Sergeant at Arms Member Security program.
December 2025 — A Permanent Role
Following the trial, The Simon Agency was selected for a permanent role providing security for several U.S. congressional members across the country.
January 2026 — Multistate Expansion
We launched a major licensing expansion, growing our licensed footprint to nine states.
2026 — Renewed Event Focus
Simon Event Services brings our experience together through security, medical staffing, drones, access control, equipment rentals, and transportation coordination.
Q1 2027 — New York Planned
New York is expected to become our tenth licensed state in the first quarter of 2027, subject to approval.
